Easiest Berriest Smoothie

Berry Berry Easy to make ...

Berry Smoothie ...

Easy Berry Smoothie ...

Berry Easy Smoothie ...

You got the point? ITS EASY TO MAKE A HEALTHY BERRY SMOOTHIE ...

Yup. That was shouting! Sorry, but I'm so happy about this ...

See, I stopped doing yogurt and dairy products, for the most part. Imagine that, ME, the huge cheese freak, has given up CHEESE about 95% of the time ... after I took out the nachos and pizzas, cheese just doesn't play a big role in my life anymore ...

And most smoothie recipes have yogurt or milk. Sure, I could make my own almond milk if I really wanted to but I've not gone there ... so I still wanted something simple ...

Enter ....

1 cup of frozen mixed berries
1 cup of coconut water ...
Ice is completely optional and I've opted not to add it

Toss the two in the Vitamix (oh yeah, I got a Vitamix for Christmas from my bosses and I STILL have not written a post on it yet ... does that tell you anything??) and let it rip ...

Serve up and enjoy ...

Did I tell you how BERRY EASY this was?? :-)

  2. I didn't know you can buy the berries already frozen, I like that option. I also need a more powerful blender.

  9. I make a lot of smoothies for breakfast during the summer. Part way through the week,I usually run out of yogurt. I've never tried making them without. But it seems like your smoothie would really focus on the flavors of the fruit. Berry good! (sorry, had to)
Thank you for linking up this week!

    2. Jan, I am doing a round-up of smoothies during the week of June 16th. I'd like to include smoothies that have out-of-the-box ingredients, like the coconut water you use that sounds really interesting. I would post a picture from your blog with a link. Please let me know if you are interested. Thanks!

  13. You're right! It's really easy to make your version of the Berry Smoothie! You can also use other fruit juices (like apple, pineapple etc.) other than coconut water. But, doesn't it alter the taste of the smoothie? Coconut water has a distinct flavor that may contrast the taste of the berries, though I hope it's not too sour-y because of all the berries you have. I will definitely try this!
