Frugal In Florida

Anyways.  Rule #10 , the very last one I made, because it was HARD for me to commit to was the NO MORE manicures, pedicures, lip/eyebrow waxing (What???), professional hair coloring ($200 plus a pop) and so on. Yeah. What was I thinking when I committed to THAT?? Hubby is most likely going to be calling a divorce attorney, or maybe just a mediator if the grey hair gets any further along ... Ok, before you get all excited, this is NOT a post to show you ALL the available free books for a Kindle. Just so you know. Hubby finally listened to me when I told him what I wanted for Christmas. I wanted a Kindle or a new iPod (my current one is stuck on a high volume and I can't turn it down)...he got me the Kindle Fire . I love it so far. I've read one book in the past week and am currently reading my second one.  This will so help me get back in to reading ... I love to read but there are just so many issues to be had (my eyes get tired and difficult to focus after a long day on the computer at work, can't read in dim light, etc.) Can I just tell you ... I can sit in a dark room and read comfortably! The back light on the screen is adjustable and so great to have. Anyways. On to the purpose of this post! I fired the new toy up immediately and started browsing titles and authors that I KNEW I wanted to read. Imagine my surprise and disappointment to find ...

I'm getting ready for the Big 2012 Challenge , and at this very moment, I'm perfectly comfortable with the approach. I've been planning for a few months and this past month has really pushed me to start the reduced spending a little sooner (of course, the generous bonuses sort of took the edge off and helped me with a few troubling bills) ... One of the things that I am so hoping that I can stay FOCUSED on is the use of two binders I set up. BOTH binders came from the office, free and were going to be thrown away (gasp) by my boss. I quickly claimed ownership before he could do the toss! One is strictly for tax purposes, tracking income and expenses. 100%. I anticipate that I will have 3 or 4 1099's at the end of the 2012 so I want to be sure I can get my tax writeoffs where I can.
