Sticky & Sweet Chicken Wings

I still can't believe all those years passed me by where I turned my nose up at chicken wings ... what the heck was I thinking??!! Now, it seems, I can't get enough of them! I made this recipe a while ago when I had a girls night ... they were pretty tasty and I've made them a few times since, but the Salt & Vinegar Wings have made an appearance more often than these. Time to fix that slight snub ;-) I had said the last time, when I posted the recipe, that I would probably skip the "sticky" addition and not baste and cook the wings in the sauce, but you know what, they are called Sticky & Sweet for a reason ... so I still swabbed them and cooked them with the sauce ... Here's who I did it: 30 wings (I took the plunge and learned how to break down the whole wing here ... easy!) 1 tsp salt 1/2 tsp paprika 1 tsp garlic powder 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (um, I actually did a few shakes and *may* have added a touch too much) For the sauce you...

Chicken Wings - Make Your Own Flats and Drumettes

Do you all remember when raw chicken wings were like, a buck a pound? And then, all of a sudden, they became just as expensive as boneless skinless chicken breast? Good grief! So when I saw these at Whole Foods for $2.19 a pound, I snagged 2 packages (which had 3 individual packets containing 4 wings each for a total of 12 per package) ... Just for the record, I've never, EVER had slimy chicken issues with Whole Foods prepackaged stuff ... unlike Costco (I stopped buying my boneless/skinless thighs from there after the last incident) and would not think twice about buying the stuff from there ... Ok, lets get down to the dirty work, shall we? If you are wanting to make some wings on the cheaper side of the budget, this is what you are going to need to do ... Grab a ...

Sweet and Sticky Chicken Wings

I had made these a few months ago when I had the girls night party and heck, I'm making them again for the Christmas Party we have coming up ...   The original recipe comes from  Hip 2 Save   and had thought I might bypass the "sticky" addition the next time, but now that I look back on this, they were good, and I will do it this way again... Here's who I plan to make a large batch: 60 wings (I have that 10 lb bag I picked up at Costco a while ago) 2 tsp salt 1 tsp paprika 2 tsp garlic powder 1 tsp cayenne pepper For the sauce you will need: 1 cup of hickory flavored bbq sauce (I am not sure if I can use  Hubbys sauce , if not, I will use Sweet Baby Ray's sauce (Costco) 1 cup honey 4 tbs ketchup 2 tbs Srirarchi (or other hot sauce you have on hand) 1 tsp garlic powder Turn oven on to heat to 375. I used my convection roast option. Rinse and dry wings. Generously spray a baking sheet with non-stick spray. OR, you can use some parchment pap...
