Chicken Wings - Make Your Own Flats and Drumettes
Do you all remember when raw chicken wings were like, a buck a pound? And then, all of a sudden, they became just as expensive as boneless skinless chicken breast? Good grief! So when I saw these at Whole Foods for $2.19 a pound, I snagged 2 packages (which had 3 individual packets containing 4 wings each for a total of 12 per package) ... BUT they were whole wings with the tips cut off. I was perfectly fine with that because splitting the wing is really no big deal and can be done fairly quickly if you can get past the raw, slimy chicken factor. Just for the record, I've never, EVER had slimy chicken issues with Whole Foods prepackaged stuff ... unlike Costco (I stopped buying my boneless/skinless thighs from there after the last incident) and would not think twice about buying the stuff from there ...
